  PASTINA

Pastina Pastina
Pastina is first mentioned in 1236, as chapel under the Parish of Bagnone. Three chapels exist today in Pastina: San Bernardino, Saint Caterina and Serabonzi. The latter is also known as Chapel of the Madonna of Loreto, for a 1600 painting, nowadays disappeared.
When the fief of Bagnone was formed, in 1351, Pastina was fortified around the actual bell tower. The last Malaspina marquis was Cristiano who sold the fief to Florence in 1471. In 1526 the Earl Noceti became gentlemen of Bagnone and therefore of Pastina as well.
