  VIANO

Lunigiana view Lunigiana view
Viano is situated in the valley of the Lucido stream. The walled village was part of the old lands of the Bianchi d’Erberia. It was the political centre, while Monte de’ Bianchi was the religious one. The cylindrical tower it is the only witness of the old castle and the village is built around it in a circular way. A few elements fo the walls remain, like the door.
The Romanesque parish of Saint Martino in the suburb is remembered in the 1149 concession to the bishops of Luni.
