Vignola Vignola
Vignola is characterized by the parish of St. Pancrazio, mentioned for the first time in 1148. Restructured more times in the centuries, the church has the ancient three aisles Romanesque plant. According to the legend, under the altar of Saint Cross is walled a pagan altar.
The evening of May the 2, before the feast of Saint Cross, a bonfire is lighten, in which once the “pipin”, little wooden statues that, remind to the pagan idols burnt by the population during the christianization.
