THE MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART - CAMEC

The building that houses the Museum of Contemporary Art dates back to the early years of the 20th century and has, in the past, been used as both a primary school and a courthouse. It was almost completely destroyed during World War II and was therefore rebuilt in the 50s.
The Centre of Modern and Contemporary Art, or CAMEC, was opened in 2004 and hosts the Bartolini collection, with works by the likes of Guttuso and Spinosa, the Cozzani collection, with over1157 paintings and sculptures donated in 1999 by Giorgio and Ilda Cozzani and the works of the "Premio del Golfo", which date back to 1933.

Opening hours: Tuesday to Saturday: 10.00-13.00, 15.00-19.00. Sunday: 11.00-19.00
