  THE CASTLE OF IERA

The ruins of the castle of Iera The ruins of the castle of Iera
Situated between Iera and Compione, there are a few remainders of the external walls and a center hall, while the vegetation has almost covered everything. Placed on a spur of the mountain with a visual domination of the torrents Bagnone and Bagnolecchia, on the way from the Magra valley to the Enza valley, the castle maybe controlled the border with the fief of Treschietto and the way of the mercantile traffics.
