The castle of Filattiera was erected by the Malaspina family in the 14th century. Articulated on two sides of the main public square and encircled from a wide garden, the castle is an imposing building, recently subordinate to a radical restoration. Inside, the castle is very evocative, conserving the classic pattern of three halls of great dimensions, used like hall of representation of the family.
