THE TOWER OF VIANO

The tower of Viano

The castle of Viano, in the stream Lucido valley, was probably built on an ancient Roman site. In the Middle Ages it assumed importance with the court of the Bianchi of Erberia, and then passed under possession of the Marquises Malaspina at the time of to Spinetta the Great.
Today remains only the cylindrical tower, that rises on the summit of the hill, born around it in a concetric way.
