The parish of Saliceto

Pieve di Saliceto was anciently known as Pieve of the Saints Ippolito and Cassiano of Urceola. This zone was particularly devoted to Saint Petronilla, protecting against the cough. The parish dates back to the first millennium, when it was the clerical center of a vaste jurisdiction extending from the high valley of the Magra river and the Gordana.
