THE VALLEY OF ADELANO
The valley of Adelano is located in the extreme north-west of Zeri and the whole of Tuscany, on the border with Liguria. The small valley is named after the creek Adelano, which borns from the Monte Penato and flows into the river Vara. As for Zeri, there is no village named Adelano, but a collection of small hamlets, mainly developed along the way, such as Casa Tosi, Casa Rocchino, Casa Biagi, Calzavitello, Casa Bornia, Casa Maddalena, Casa Pasquino and Frandalini.
The small villages are located between 800 and 870 meters high. At the center of the valley is the church of Santa Maria Maddalena, between Calzavitello and Casa Bornia. The view of the valley can be appreciated fully by the road that goes to Antara or Bergugliara.
