CANEPARI
Lunigiana hills
Canepari was founded late at the end of the XVII century by farmers coming from Ponzanello, Carignano and also from Chiavari and from France. They were attracted by the fact that the State gave these territories to those people that reclaim them for cultivation.
The name of the village derives from the cultivation of the hemp ("canapa" in italian), common in the zone thanks to the abundance of water.
