PONTICELLO
The medieval village of Ponticello dates back to the XIV-XV century and it is situated approximately 3 kilometers from Filattiera. It is structured behind the Oratory of the Saints Rocco and Bernardo, founded in 1648. Its facade was originally turned towards the suburb, but in 1819, the oratory was restored and widened, and the facade constructed towards the street.
The village is characterized by different styles of arches, that connect the houses and by the imponent tower house of the X-XII century. It is a typical fortified construction with three overlapped rooms. The entrance was on the first floor, reachable with retractable stairs. The village cheers up with the festivity of "I mestieri del borgo", an event that recalls all the old works of the suburb.
