The village of Sassalbo, from the name of the big chalk quarries that stands above it, is situated in the northern valley of the Rosamo stream. From the suburb passed the ancient road which crossed the Spedalaccio pass. The village which is gathered around Saint Michele church and the Priori palace. Nearby, in the Frignoli, there is the Botanical Garden, that collects natural and seminatural atmospheres.
