THE VALLEY OF ZERI
The valley of Zeri is the main one of the municipality of Zeri, bordering the other valleys of Adelano, Rossano and Codolo. The valley is crossed by the high valley of the river Gordana.
The first village coming from Pontremoli is Noce, one of main centers of the valley, along with Patigno, where is the church of St. Lorenzo and Coloretta . Heading to the mountain pass of the Rastrello, we find Castello and Bergugliara, with the beautiful churches and the ruins of the ancient Castle of Zeri near the village.
Towards the mountain pass of Due Santi, we reach the Villaggio Aracci, the village of Formentara, today uninhabited and the and the ski resort.
From Valditermine towards the Valley of Adelano, we find the grotto of Lourdes, reproduction the miraculous French cave.
In summary, the villages that forms the valley of Zeri are Patigno, Valditermine, Villaggio Aracci, La Formentara, Costa d’Asino, Piandelmonte, Antara, Chiosa, Torricella, Bergugliara, Serralunga, Fichi, Villaggio Passo Rastrello, Castello, Coloretta, Noce, La Dolce and Conciliara.
